Probably would save even the the staff some headaches of dealing with phone calls. Big bold print or something at the top of your confirmation email. This information definitely should be obviously displayed blatantly upon booking. The only advise I can give to the hotel is that it's not overly clear that you check in at a different location until you arrive and see the sign on what would be the lobby. because they were doing that at the other hotel. It meant that at 11am and 3pm, there wasn't an influx of people parking randomly to check in and out. It's one short block away and actually I find having the check in at a different hotel kind of nice. Again, not a big deal for me, but I can see this might be an annoyance to those that like everything at their finger tips. I will note that you have to check in at the ”sister hotel” and not Pacific Shores Inn. The rooms are nice and clean and come with all the basics that you'd need. The manager (I think) Jim, is awesome! One of the friendliest interactions with hotel staff and he made an extra effort to accommodate my early check in after I had a very unpleasant night at a different hotel and ended up leaving that hotel and driving around all night. I was staying here alone and felt safe the entire time. If I really strained, I technically could see the ocean from my window. While it's not ocean front, It's only steps from the beach. So it's not loud all night, but still very close to accessing everything by foot. I did it both times and will do again -love to watch sea lions, seals and birds.Ĥ.61km from ODO Eye Care Optometry I think this is a perfect location in San Diego. Also - we like to walk -it is 20 min walk or 5-7 min drive to La Jolla caves, seals. But within 150-300 meters of walk - great restaurants -italian (2) and others. Breakfast - for additional money is medium, not bad, but in city we had better breakfasts. So both time it were two of us - but it can be easily 4 persons, especially if it is family with 2 adults and 2 kids.
Standard Rooms are pretty big and have two queen beds. So it's family too:) Close to hotel there is nice park with kids stuff - so families are welcome. All rooms ( I suppose) have balcony, where pleasant to sit to have tea (or drinks in the evening). I love this hotel -we took both times side sea view - park and ocean -amazing view! Probably front beach view is better, but for us too expensive. Overall, we were hugely impressed and feel so lucky to have found this amazing gem of a property! We also highly recommend Everyday California for surf lessons, Dough Mama and Shorerider for food/drinks. My family also had rooms #230 (better room but bedroom on front of property) and #121. The bedroom location with views and waves made up for it, but if you’re a hotel snob as I can be, that may be a problem for you. Our room (#231) was very tired with an uneven floor. My only complaint is the rooms and building need work. We did book a sunset BBQ and I only regret not booking 1-2 more nights of that.

We only ate on property at Club Dining and the food was great and the setting beautiful (we saw a whale do a full breach!). but I was most impressed with the daily (free!) activities ranging from Sundaes on Sunday to fire pit and S’mores, tide pool walks, arts and crafts, scavenger walks….We could have stayed 2 weeks and not done it all. There is so much to do! Golf, tennis, beach activities, fitness room, massage services etc. I was so impressed with how EASY they make vacationing, especially for families: spacious rooms, comfortable pull-out sofa, trundles in every room, kitchen with all the necessities, water refill stations, loungers and umbrella at no cost, towels and foot washing stations everywhere and the most friendly, helpful staff. 1.96km from ODO Eye Care Optometry My family and I spent 6 nights at the beautiful LJBTC for a family reunion and are leaving so grateful for the experience.
